Waste

There are three priorities to improve the long term environment of our region:

• reduce the amount of waste produced and improve levels of recycling
• reduce the activities which are having a negative effect on our climate
• improve conditions for wildlife in the region

Our region has one of the worst records for waste in the UK and Europe. ‘Let’s take it from the Tip’ sets out how we will reduce waste, encourage more recyling and composting – including new businesses in this area – and increase awareness among the general public about their role.
