Consultants AEA Energy and Environment, commissioned on behalf of the Regional Energy Forum in conjunction with the Assembly, Yorkshire Forward and Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber, have produced the Vision for Biomass Report to act as a focus to enable bioenergy to develop in a sustainable manner as outlined in the Regional Energy Infrastructure Strategy.

The report was launched by Yorkshire and Humber Regional Minister Rosie Winterton MP at Bradford City Hall on Monday 17 March to an audience of over 80 delegates. Speakers at the event discussed key biomass developments already in place in the region and examined ways to build on these for the future. Presentations were given by AEA Energy and Environment, Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council and the Forestry Commission. Delegates had the opportunity to view the newly installed biomass boiler at City Hall.
