Call for Evidence (May - July 2008)

The Call for Evidence was an early opportunity to get involved in the 2009 Update of the Yorkshire and Humber Plan. It aimed to:

  • Surface ideas and proposals for accommodating growth in the Region early on in the process of the 2009 Update, and
  • Encourage the development of evidence and information now, to enable people/organisations to be able to respond to the Options consultation.

We called for anyone with an interest in the Plan to provide us with their strategic ideas for accommodating growth in this Region. For more information on the Call for Evidence please contact Harriet Fisher: harriet.fisher@yhassembly.gov.uk

The Call for Evidence ran from 30 May to 11 July 2008. The consultation is now closed. The responses are available to download in 4 documents below. Please refer to the Schedule of Responses contents page if you are looking for a specific response.

At their meeting on 29 July 2008 the Regional Planning Board considered a report and presentation (available to download below) on the responses received. The Board agreed to further analysis of the responses to inform the preperation of spatial options for accommodating growth in the Region.

The next opportunity for engagement will be when draft policy revisions to the Plan are submitted to Government.
